Total Length when worn (with watch-cap brim folded): 8 ½” / 21.5 cm

YARN

De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (light worsted weight): French mérinos d’Arles and black Portuguese merino woolen spun in France/ 270 yards per approx 100 g skein 

Samples shown in colors Darjeeling (brown ) and Sel (white)

Beanie: 1 skein or approximately 200 yards (75 g)

Watch cap: 1 skein or approximately 230 yards (85 g) of light worsted weight yarn for hat; 

approximately 24–27 yards (9–10 g) for pom pom

Sample used 230 yards for watch cap and 25 yards for pom pom

Yardages have been padded by 10% to accommodate differences in knitting style

GAUGE

24 sts and 28 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in cable pattern on Main Fabric Needle, after wet-blocking

NEEDLES

Main Fabric Needle: US 8 (5.00 mm): 16” circular and dpns or 40” for working magic loop

Ribbing Needle: US 5 (3.75 mm): 16” circular

Adjust your needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
