Portcullis

$7.00

PORTCULLIS is a watch cap knit in a fascinating faux-woven texture with an extra-deep brim and a full lining for greater wind protection. The sizing in this pattern is more about style than fit; all sizes should fit a range of head sizes but each size gets progressively grander in scale, beginning with the sleek outline of the small and culminating with the over-sized
drama of the large.

Recipe guidelines are also given for a matching cowl.

YARN
Approximately 322 (412, 400) yards of worsted weight yarn 3 skeins mYak Medium (100% yak, 125 yds/50g)

NOTE: Estimated yardage is enough yarn to do the whole hat in one yarn and factors in an extra 10% to what was used for samples.
* Sizes Medium and Large were done with 3 complete skeins of mYak Medium. If your gauge differs from the pattern gauge there is a chance you might need additional yarn to complete the lining. The lining is perfect for scraps so if you wish to line your hat with another yarn or color see sample usage below.

Small shown in Night Flower. Hat outer: 220 yds Lining: 73 yds. Approximately 293 yds total.

Medium shown in Moss. Hat outer: 292.5 yds Lining: 82.5 yds. Approximately 375 yds total.

Large shown in Burgundy. Hat outer: 275 yds Lining: 90 yds. Approximately 365 yds total.
