FINN is simple to knit and the subtle texture highlights the beauty of hand-dyed yarn. The hat can be worn a variety of ways to flatter many faces and is fully reversible. Wear it with the double-thickness brim folded up snugly rounded to your head like a traditional watch cap or higher on the head for a modern square-top look. Or unfold the brim and wear it slouchy like a stocking cap. With plenty of yarn to spare you can easily customize the depth of both the hat and the brim to your liking.

1 skein sport weight Cashmere People Cashgora (100% Handspun Cashgora; approximately 260-359 yds/100g)
Sample used approximately 170 yds of a 325 yd skein. Hat will take approximately 200 yds.
Shown in colourway Rust spun by Mukaddas

GAUGE
22 stitches and 36 rounds = 4” in Broken Rib pattern on Main Fabric Needle

NEEDLES
Main Fabric Needle: One 16” circular and one set of DPNs in size needed to obtain gauge
Suggested size: US 3 (3.25 mm)

Inner Brim Needle: One 16” circular or DPNs one size larger than Main Fabric Needle
Suggested size: US 4 (3.5 mm)

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

TOOLS
Blunt tapestry needle, ring stitch marker, 4 locking stitch markers, crochet hook, small amount of smooth fingering weight waste yarn

FINISHED DIMENSIONS (after blocking)
Brim circumference: 17 ½ (19, 20 ¼)“
Length: 8 (8½, 8¾)” with brim folded, 10 ¾ (11 ¼, 11½)“ with brim unfolded

Rib pattern is, very stretchy; choose size with 2-3”of negative ease for the warmest fit
