A double-brimmed cloud of warmth for when the coldest winds blow. BRUME begins with a provisional cast on from which the main hat is worked from bottom to crown. The provisional edge is stabilized with an I-cord bind off then new stitches are picked up to form the cabled brim, which also ends in an I-cord bind off for a perfectly matched edging.The main body of the hat is worked in an allover cable motif and shaped within pattern.

YARN
1 skein sport weight Cashmere People Cashgora (100% Handspun Cashgora; approximately 260-359 yds/100g)
Sample used approximately 280 yds of a 328 yd skein
Shown in colourway Rime spun by Sevara

GAUGE
32 stitches and 31 rounds = 4” in charted stitch pattern on Main Fabric Needle

NEEDLES
Main Fabric Needle: One 16” circular and one set of DPNs in size needed to obtain gauge
Suggested size: US 5 (3.75 mm)
Brim Pick Up Needle: One circular or DPNs 2 sizes smaller than Main Fabric Needle
Suggested size: US 3 (3.25 mm)
I-Cord Bind Off Needle: One circular or DPNs 3 sizes smaller than Main Fabric Needle
Suggested size: US 2 (2.75 mm)
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

TOOLS
Blunt tapestry needle, stitch marker, cable needle, crochet hook, small amount of smooth fingering weight waste yarn
