Bonner Hat

The Bonner Hat combines sinuous and ropey cables for a hat that has both structure and drape. Wear it propped up or slouched down. Knit in beautifully soft mYak medium this lightweight hat provides warmth without weight.

YARN

Approximately 180 yards of worsted weight yarn [2 skeins mYak Medium (100% baby yak, 125 yds/50g)] Shown in color Desert

GAUGE

22 stitches and 32 rnds = 4” in k2, p2 rib in the round

33-stitch Cable Chart measures 5” wide, relaxed after blocking

NEEDLES

Main Fabric Needle: One 16” circular and one set of double-pointed needles (DPNs) in size needed to obtain gauge

Suggested size: US 7 (4.5 mm)

Ribbing Needle: One 16” circular in size needed to obtain gauge

Suggested size: US 4 (3.5 mm)

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge

TOOLS

Blunt tapestry needle, stitch markers, cable needle
